So I finally figured out why I haven't heard from Bruno lately. Apparently he is seeing someone. Obviously that is not a bad thing, but wow, he didn't have the common courtesy to tell me that? That has to be the absolute worst thing about having friends, or making friends. If someone rejects you as a lover, then it is because there is something about the two of you that isn't jelling. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt like hell when it happens, I'm just saying for me it hurts less. When a friend drops you, they are rejecting something about your personality, the person you are. It isn't the way you kiss that turns them off, it isn't that you snore or fart in bed, it isn't that your family is insane, it is something about you, your soul, that they don't want to be connected to any longer.
Oh well. Just another life lesson, I guess. Amazing how things like that don't even hurt anymore. I guess my family and friends are right. I have absolutely no taste when it comes to bringing people into my life. I need a spotter.

So, is it just that Bruno is wrapped up in his little chickie? Hasn't had time to breath to call and chat? Or you think this is real friend dumpage we're talking about? I've seen those new relationships negin with quite a bit of isolationism.
Could be wrapped up, but I've sent little quick IMs of how you doing with no response. And I don't want to sound like I begrudge him a love life. He deserves to have someone who makes him happy. We'll see. His "season" is close to being finished. I think the bigger deal is that I've got to take care of me without waiting for anyone elses help. I am an island. A small one, just off the Coast of Pathetic, but dammit, an island nevertheless.
You don't need a spotter, you have perfectly fine vision when it comes to people. Your mistake is thinking that one great night with a six hour intelligent conversation makes a lifelong friend. You just need to slow down before completely giving yourself over, or live in a city with more intelligent conversers. :) I'm sure Bruno's not a bad guy, he just isn't supposed to figure in your life right now.
